Fourth of July Week Has Arrived in Tennessee
Things To Do, My Tennessee Week
We’re on the cusp of all the fun the Fourth of July holiday has to offer and Tennessee is just brimming with entertainment possibilities. From dazzling fireworks displays to summer family festivals, there’s so much to do this week. Here are some of the Independence Day highlights:
If you’re in the western region of the state, Camden is the place to be this week for its 4th of July Week Celebration and Festival. The week-long party kicks off tomorrow and doesn’t stop until the final fireworks display lights up the sky on July 4. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the fun-filled days of barbecue cookouts, swimming, volleyball and more.
Lipscomb University’s Independence Day celebration kicks off July 2 in Nashville with free games and activities for children, live entertainment by the award-winning group, Acappella, plenty of delicious food and a professional fireworks display. This is family fun for all.
“Music in the Park: Red White & Blue Street Dance” gets the Fourth of July weekend off to a great start. This is an event that will have you out of your lawn chair and dancing to the rhythms of performers such as Sarah Mallory with Jennifer Bray, Trapper Haskins, Denny Meeks & The Hard Times Band and more. The event takes place in Monteagle July 2 and features a raising of the flag ceremony, cannon event and concessions and craft vendors.
