My best girlfriend and I have been friends for almost 30 years. We take at least one weekend trip to Tennessee each year to get away from husbands and family for a “Girls Only” weekend. We have stayed in Nashville, Memphis, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, and Goodletville, Tennessee. We are always pleased with the beautiful scenery, the entertainment events, the historic attractions, the music, the food, the shopping, and most of all the friendly people.
We have remarked several times to each other that people in Tennessee are always nice and helpful to tourists and they make you feel truly welcome. We have spent weekends in other states, but we keep coming back to Tennessee because of the hospitality that is overwhelming.
Some places are truely timeless, like Nashville and Memphis. So much history and entertainment all rolled into one. We keep going back because we have never been able to see everything we have wanted to and because we have had such good experiences. Thank you to all those folks in Tennessee who never made us feel like “outsiders”. We will keep coming back as often as we can.
