Our Love Affair with Tennessee

We have always loved the area of Tennessee around the Great Smoky Mountains. We have camped many times in the National Park and in Pigeon Forge. My husband and I spent our honeymoon, 30 years ago, in Gatlinburg. Even though we live in Indiana, we are Southerners at heart.
As many times as we have traveled to Tennessee to the Smoky Mountain area, we had never spent anytime in Nashville. That changed when our son decided to attend Nashville Auto Diesel College in 2000. From the time we traveled to Nashville that first time to look at the school, and consequently made many trips to Nashville throughout that next year while he was in school, we fell in love with Nashville. The people were so friendly. The country music history was awe-inspiring. The city itself is a beautiful city. We had so much fun just seeing the sights and visiting many historic places around the city. It captured our hearts and it will forever be our favorite city to visit.
