The Festival Hunt Is On!
Things To Do, My Tennessee Weekend
This weekend in Tennessee it’s all about festivals! No matter where you find yourself, whether in the east, middle or west Tennessee, there’s a festival full of fun for all ages.
The Memphis Italian Festival is a community celebration, demonstrating the values of family, faith and fellowship in the Italian-American tradition. Proceeds from the event, which will be held from now through June 5, will benefit Holy Rosary Parish School. At the event guests will enjoy family-oriented fun in music, food, events, games and arts and crafts.
The Fourth Annual Art Fusion Fine Art & Craft Festival in Franklin features live musical entertainment, a wine tasting, hors d’oeurves and art featured in both Building 12 and the Commons Area of the Factory at Franklin. The two-day event is free and open to the public through June 5.
The Smoky Mountain Pottery Festival in Townsend features 35 juried potters and exhibits of a wide variety of fine pottery in beautiful styles and exciting techniques. The event will feature Raku firings, demonstrations of wheel-throwing and hand building, plus a children’s tent at the festival. The event is scheduled June 4-5.
See what I mean? There’s no excuse to stay inside on a weekend like this. Happy festival hunting!
